Safeguarding
As Christians we regard safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults as a Gospel imperative, and seek to provide a safe and welcoming space for all who come to us. We seek to welcome all God's children into our community and to value every human as themselves, irrespective of age, race, gender disabilities , sexual orientation and other social differences, treasuring what they bring to to body of Christ.
However, we are aware that historically the Church of England has failed many people in this regard, including in this parish. We try to be conscious of the risks that are associated with any environment where some people are seen to be in positions of power and priviledge, and can be tempted to abuse those positions either consciously or unconsciously.
If you have any concerns about the welfare of a vulnerable child or adult at Holy Trinity, then please contact our Parish Safeguarding Officer, Hazel Paterson: safeguarding@htnorthwood.co.uk or the vicar, Ann: vicar@htnorthwood.co.uk.
If you do not feel comfortable contacting members of the parish, you can also contact the London Diocesan Safeguarding team; please send an email to: safeguarding@london.anglican.org.
If you feel that a child or adult is in immediate danger of significant or serious harm, then you should call 999 immediately.
