St Paul's Advent Carol Service
St Paul's Cathedral invite you to their Advent Carol Service on Saturday 28 November at 5pm.
This is a moving and uplifting service in which the Cathedral Choir moves throughout the building singing music which reflects the Advent themes of light and hope, together with readings from scripture and literature, and some of the best-loved of the Advent hymns.
This year, their system has changed and tickets will need to be sent individually to parishioners or family groups. The ticket guarantees a seat anywhere in the cathedral on a first come/first served basis – this means that, if guests wish to sit together, they need to arrive together. The service will last approximately an hour and a quarter.
Young people (aged 8-14 years) from across the diocese are also invited to be part of the procession of light which moves through the Cathedral as part of the processions. There is a rehearsal earlier in the afternoon for this, when the children and their supervising parent/guardian will be taken through the procession. All children participating must be available to rehearse from 2.15 pm onwards on the day.
To apply for tickets and register young people for the procession, please contact the parish office (by Friday 6 November) with the names, email addresses, access needs and number of tickets required for each individual or family group. Tickets will then be sent directly to you by St Paul's.
