The Parish Choir
This is the choir which performs most frequently at Holy Trinity.
It is made up mostly of adults who variously sing Soprano, Alto,
Tenor or Bass. The repertoire is wide ranging and carefully chosen
to compliment season and to reflect themes in the wider worship at
Holy Trinity. For more information, please follow the link to see
the
music list
for the last few months.
We are always on the lookout for new members to join us. The
choir is a very welcoming and friendly group, whose aim is to enjoy
their singing while attaining the very highest musical standards.
The Junior Choir
The Junior Choir frequently works in tandem with the Parish
Choir, although there are many occasions where they perform in their
own right. The age group in this choir is 8 years to 16. At the age
of 16, Junior Choir members have the option to join the Parish Choir.
As they are a younger group, their rehearsal and service commitment
is lighter.
It should be noted that the Junior Choir only meet on the second
and fourth weeks of the month. This is to enable them to be in the
Junior Choir, but at the same time take advantage of the other
activities going on at church and outside. Parents should be aware
that if their child wishes to leave before the start of the combined
practice at 7.45pm a parental note will need to be supplied.

The Taizé Choir
This is a group specifically dedicated to singing the beautiful
and meditative music of Taizé. They sing a Taizé evening service
three times a year. This is a relatively new venture for Holy
Trinity and we would very much welcome anybody who wishes to join
in. You do not need to be a member of any other choir or indeed
music group at Holy Trinity to join the Taizé Choir. In fact this
group provides an ideal outlet for people who feel they do not have
time to commit to joining the Parish Choir or any other regularly
rehearsing ensemble.
Rehearsals will begin in the New Year. Look out for more
information on the website and in the Parish Magazine.
Getting Involved
Anybody who would like more information about the choirs at Holy
Trinity should get in touch with the Director of Music. We will be
delighted to welcome anybody who would like to join us or merely
come and sit in and watch the choirs in action.
